He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Nickens and Iona Nickens (Wagner); and his stepson Jeffery "J. T." Pace. He is survived by: his wife Melanie Nickens (Kahney) of Alton, IL; his stepdaughter Jessica Boyd (Paul) of Alton, IL; his grandchildren, Jackson, Elise Boyd of Alton, IL and Madison Pace of Minnesota; his cousins, Bobette Lalumondier (Steve), Van Cox, Gus Wagner (Leslie), Connie Brosz (Scott) and Randy Wagner; and his aunts, Carol Wagner and Lucy Wagner.
