With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Steinbrueck (Alton, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 7, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Jackson and Bernice Jackson (Burleson); her husband William E. Steinbrueck; her siblings, Steven Jackson, Jeffrey Jackson, Nathan Jackson and Barbara Buckshot; her siblings-in-law, Betty Jackson, Ron Buckshot and Al Woolverton; and her in-laws, Elmer and Pearl Steinbrueck.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Steinbrueck (Lori) of Godfrey and Jill Lorsbach (Greg) of Godfrey; her grandchildren, Korby Piel, Jacob Piel, Peter Steinbrueck (Emileigh) and Jackson Lorsbach; her sisters, Carol Cannavan of Wood River, Gail Woolverton of Troy, IL and Claire Jackson (Michael Aaron) of Florissant, MO.; and her sister-in-law Mary Hummel of Missouri. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
