He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward G. Cox and Iva Cox (Callahan); and his son Carl Cox. He is survived by: his children, Debra Cox of Alton and Jerry "Steven" Cox (Valerie) of Norwood, MO; his grandchildren, Rachel Hill (Steve), Bethany Cox, Kristen Whited and Shawn Cox (Davina); his great grandchildren, Kennedy Baalman (Gus), Jaelyn Hill, Olivia Cox, Ian Whited, Wyatt Whited, Addilyn Cox, Dannika Whited, Sawyer Whited, Wade Cox, Georgia and Autumn; and his great great grandchildren, Liam and Reid Baalman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory (3939 Lake Dr, Granite City, IL 62040). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 2:15 PM at the Walker Hill Cemetery.
