She was predeceased by: her parents, Hessie Fair and Rovilla Fair (Swarm); her husband Melvin Eugene Koelmel; her siblings, Robert Fair, Lola Lash and Jennie Black; her siblings' children, Denny Black, Shirley Mattes (Elvis), Donna Black and Lynette Koelmel; her brother Glen; her sister-in-law Norma Jean Koelmel; and her great-nephews, Jud, Cory Hubbell and Bruce Black.
She is survived by: her sibling's children, Dale Black, Sharon "Dolly" Lawler (Ken), Sandy Wilson (Dennis), Larry Koelmel (Tammy), Connie Bickers (Tom), Terry Koelmel (Theresa Shell), Rodney Koelmel (Shelley) and Rick Koelmel (Margaret); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Max Mattes (Linda), Elvis Mattes, Lisa Owen (Mark), Matthew Black and Brian Black (Charisse).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Gent Funeral Home (2409 State St, Alton, IL 62002). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Crisis Center of Alton and Community Christian Church.
