She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Geoffrey and Pattie Huntas McPherson (Malone); her husband James Marshall Simpson; her daughter Kathie; her son-in-law Stephen Taylor; her sister Anna Laura; her brother-in-law Webb Frazier; her brother John; and her siblings-in-law, Sammie McPherson, Norma Lee (Simpson) and Bill Schrempf.

She is survived by: her daughter Karen Pace (Roger) of Brighton; her grandchildren, Amanda Ashley Smith (Bryan), Corey Matthew Pace (Brittney), Lori Merkel (Steve) and Staci Hayes (Brian); her great grandchildren, Bailey (Naomi), Jordan Merkel, Olivia (Kaden Manning), Jackson Dufer (Emily), Hudson, Holden Hayes, Harrison Pace, Peyton and Colton Smith; her great great grandchild Harley Dufer; her brother George McPherson (Doris); and her aunt Della Mauro.
