It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pearl Burnett (Alton, Illinois), born in Mansfield, Louisiana, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Jefferson and Allie Bea Jefferson; and her children, Carla Jean and Michael Glenn. She is survived by: her brother Thomas Jefferson of Poughkeepsie; her sister-in-law Louise Williams Jefferson of Seabrook, Texas; her siblings, Larenza Jefferson of Los Angeles, California. and Willie Jefferson of Los Angeles, California.; her son-in-law Joseph Williams of Jacksonville, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Glenn Taylor Jr., Jayme Reed, Zachehus Burnett and Keenan Burnett. She is also survived by great grandchildren, along with a host of extended family members, friends.
