Phyllis Marie Vahle Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phyllis Marie Vahle (Alton, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus C. Baker and Verna M. Baker (McDade); her daughter Linda M. Vahle; and her siblings, Clayton Baker, Eileen Hardwick, Esther Burger and Evelyn Hardwick.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Shaw (Jim) of Jerseyville, Dennis Vahle (Tammy Taul) of Fosterburg and Darryl Kaiser of Godfrey; and her sisters, Barbara Howland of Carrollton and Wanda Hall of Carrollton.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gent Funeral Home (2409 State St, Alton, IL 62002). A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
