She was predeceased by: her parents, John Clarence and Lula Katherine Gayan (Day); her brothers, Bobby Gayan, Sr. (Norma) and Johnny Gayan; and her niece Bobbie Jean Nowlin.
She is survived by: her friend Berta; her husband Lawrence H. Whitt; her daughter Katie Walker; her niece Gwendolyn Garland (Brian); her great-niece Alyssa Smith (Josiah); her nephew Robbie Gayan; and her great-nephews, Jacob Garland (Maggie), Nathan Garland, Brandon Nowlin and Johnny Nowlin.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, as Roberta adored and loved children.
