He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Harang and Thelma Harang (Osheim); his son-in-law Duane Averbeck; and his siblings, David Harang and Lavonne Clark.

He is survived by: his children, Therese Averbeck, Kathryn Beard (Robert), David Harang, Michael Harang (Virginia) and Patrick Harang (Christina); his grandchildren, Ashley (John), AJ (Emma), Curtis (Libby), Alexander, Alyssa (Bailey), Ryan Patrick, Olivia Marie (Justin), Adrian (Alana) and Zachary (Alison); and his great grandchildren, Ripley, Atlas, Kaden and Avery.
