With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Pranaitis (Alton, Illinois), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on February 20, 2021 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew R. Carter and Shirley Ruth Carter (Kellum); and her siblings, Andrew Carter and Teresa Cotton. She is survived by: her daughters, Amie Pranaitis of Godfrey and Laura Pranaitis of Godfrey; and her brothers, Terry Carter (Linda) of Fulton, MS and Randy Carter (Yvonne) of Cape Girardeau, MO..
