He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Ward and Harriett Ward (Hess); his wife Peggy Orzel; and his siblings, Patricia Ward, James Ward and David Ward.

He is survived by: his son Daniel Ward of Alton; and his siblings, William Ward (Janine), Janice Ward, Mary Ward and Susan Sowders (Rick).
