With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Timothy R. O'Grady Sr. in Alton, Illinois, who passed away on August 5, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David O'Grady and Cecelia O'Grady (Bullis); his spouse Shirley Byers; and his siblings, James, David, John O'Grady, Jeanne Lerchin and Patricia Brooks.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy O'Grady, II (Leah) of Wood River, David O'Grady of Wood River, Deborah McKey (Dennis) of Branson, MO and Cheryl Jones (Eugene) of Williamsburg, VA; his grandchildren, Todd O'Grady (Rachel), Jonathan O'Grady, Aaron Jones (Nicki), Allison Weid (Chuck), Jennifer Stone (Jim) and Kristi Hall (Dwayne); and his brother William O'Grady of Brighton, MI.. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
