He is survived by: his wife Jyll L. Johnson; his children, Joseph Abbott, Julia Abbott, Joni Abbott and June Clemons (Larry); his grandchildren, Brock (Austin) of Brody, E. J., Malorie, Raina, Briellah, Katie, John and Liberty; his great grandchildren, Jordan and Greyson; his sister Sheryl; and his siblings-in-law, Virlon Lamberson and Debbie Johnson.
