He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Lingle (Tiny) and Beverly Lingle (Sue) of Anna; and his grandparents, Carl and Thelma Jennings of Balcom. He is survived by: his brother Dana Lingle; his wife Julie Lingle of Anna; his children, Karla (Michael Rushing), Jeannie (Raymond Beegle), Heather and Larry Turner (family: Timothy, Lora Williams, Dongola); his grandchildren, Scarlet Helton (Dennie) of Johnson City, Mackenzie Beegle (Daniel Bauman), Laura Harris, Taylor Rushing, Raymond Beegle III (Bubby), Jacelynn Beegle, Bryson, Bryleigh, Branson, Lilly Kay Turner of Anna, Ashlyn, Jessie Welch and Bradyn Williams of Dongola; his great grandchildren, Isaac, Justus, Lane, Linda and Lillian of Johnson City; his siblings-in-law, Patricia Sims of Oklahoma, Karen George of Kingsport, Tennessee and Derk Wright of Dongola; his nephew Dalton Wright (Caylar) of Kingsport, Tennessee; and his close friend John Nimmo.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Crain Funeral Home - Anna (135 W Vienna St, Anna, IL 62906). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. John's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to Crain Funeral Home for a monument for Gerald.
