We bid farewell to Sherman Lee Mays (Anna, Illinois), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 12, 2024 at the age of 85. Sherman touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Marcellis and Ada Kathryn Mays (Farris); his son Sherman Lee Mays Jr.; and his siblings, Beverly Mays, Ginger Newman and Allen Mays.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Kay Pickel (Terry Lessen) of Dongola, Deborah Lee Cunningham (Rusty) of Evansville, IN and Ronald Wayne Mays of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Dan Osman, Sarah Wellmeier (Sam), Jason Pickel (Jessica), Justin Lee Pickel (Jamie), Andrea Walker and Ryan Mays (Tara); his brothers, Grover Sr. Mays (Vicki) of Dongola and Ronnie Mays (Debbie) of Anna; and his sister-in-law Sandra Mays of Jacksonville. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
