As Wendel departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Wendel may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Wendel leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendel Davis and Wilhelma Davis (Pearce); his sister Wilma Booth; and his mother-in-law Barbara Pitts. He is survived by: his wife Georgena Davis; his children, Jerry Davis (Demetria), Bonnita Penrod (Stan) and Tina Carter (Bob); and his father-in-law Fred Pitts. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to Ebenezer Hall Cemetery and/or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
