He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Elfering and Annamari Elfering. He is survived by: his wife Lela; his son Richard; his grandchildren, Kennedy, Haidyn and Bryant Lavish; his siblings, Mary Goosman, Kathleen Biondi (David), Patricia Rebechini (Peter), George Elfering (Trina), Peter Elfering and Richard Elfering (Jennifer); and his pets, Milo and Scout. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Strang Funeral Home (1055 Main St, Antioch, IL 60002). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (1704 240th Ave, Kansasville, WI 53139). A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the St. Xavier Brighton Catholic Cemetery (1704 240th Ave, Kansasville, WI 53139).
