He was predeceased by : his parents, George D. Coffey and Gladys Coffey (Green); and his brother Carlysle Coffey. He is survived by : his wife Olga Vlieg of Arcola, IL; his children, John Coffey (Cinthia) of Phoenix, AZ, Ralph Coffey of Charleston, IL and Marilyn Holmes (Ted) of Mattoon, IL; his stepchildren, Ron Vlieg (Gyna) of Miami, FL and Vanessa Vlieg; his grandchildren, Lisa, Neil, Ryan, Andrew, Amy and TJ; and his stepgrandchildren, Jay and Laura.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
