He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leischner and Clara Leischner (Boehs); and his siblings, John Leischner Jr., Charles Leischner, Richard Leischner, Carol Pearson and Bill Leischner (Surviving).

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Gardner; his children, Douglas Leischner (Tracy) of Arenzville, Ryan Leischner (Aimee) of Arenzville and Tara Hobrock (Michael) of Concord; his grandchildren, Jordan, Allaina, Dalton, Allyson, Peyton, Gracie and Andrew; his great grandchildren, Jensen, Maeve and Jariah; and his sisters, Arlene Colclasure of Arenzville and Linda (Jim).

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church.
