She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Schafer and G. Maxine Schafer (Henning); her husband John M. Emmert; and her sisters, Beverly Lambourn and Judith Bennett.
She is survived by: her sons, Jason Emmert (Laurel) and Matthew Emmert (Meredith); her grandchildren, Abigail Colmark (Brandon), Nathan Emmert and Jared Emmert; and her sisters, Bonnie Conover (Philip) and Marcia Grotte. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
