He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rachel Ann; his children, Debbie Beaty (Jonathan Hayes), Alex Grunfeld (Jessica), Michelle Wasielewski (Todd) and Phillip Grunfeld; his grandchildren, Taylor Hayes, Trace, Taylor Beaty, Peyton, Brandon Grunfeld, Brooke, Nathan Wasielewski, Colton and Grace Grunfeld; and his sister Edith Weinberger (Moshe).
