She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Ostendorf and Rita Ostendorf; her husband Paul Smialek; and her brother Harold Ostendorf (Charlene). She is survived by: her siblings, Kathleen Talley (late Robert), Sharon Steffen (late Philip) and Michele Smith (Randy).
