He is survived by: his wife Amy "Sue" Louise Shafer; his children, Lonnie Shafer (Barb), Cindy Mazzetti (James), Susan Ewald (Anthony) and Debbie Nelson (Daniel); and his grandchildren, Sarah Johnson (Jeremy), Julia Fernandez (Joey), David Shafer (Ashton), Evan Shafer, Dino Mazzetti, Mario Mazzetti, Robin Hansen (Joseph), Fox Nelson, Logan Nelson and Dylan Nelson. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
