He was predeceased by: his parents, Waclaw Szymanowski and Sophia Szymanowski; and his siblings, Stephanie Schmidt (Ed), Leona De Fotis (Nick), Chester Szymanowski (Joan), Alice Bachta (Gene) and Evelyn Lostumo (Arthur).
He is survived by: his wife Janet; his daughters, Carisa McCarthy (Jim) and Pamela Gatto (Mike Gawlik); his grandchildren, Emily Benko (Tom), Collin McCarthy (Taylor), Shaelyn Corbett (Scott), Morgan Morrill (Conor) and Matthew Bettencourt (Maggie); and his great grandchildren, Lochlan and Emersyn McCarthy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home (1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004). An entombment will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Maryhill Catholic Cemetery Chapel (8600 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
