George Y. Kino Obituary
Dr. George Y. Kino, originally from Tokyo, Japan and resident of Arlington Heights, Illinois, was the cherished husband of his beloved Mitzie. He is survived by daughter Mary (John Marsh) Kino of California.
Following his formal medical training in Japan, Fulbright-sponsored internships in the United States, residencies and board-certifications in several medical specialties, Dr. Kino practiced clinical pathology during the majority of his career. He was a long-standing member of the American Medical Association and a Life Fellow of the College of American Pathologists.
George was a devoted father, an avid fisherman, table tennis fanatic, world traveler and explorer, and lifelong-learning enthusiast, fueled by boundless curiosity, love of adventure, and appreciation for life. George will miss his special fishing paisans, hosting his Japanese karaoke group, joining his Gourmet Club friends, and interacting with the many kindred spirits who enriched his life.
Per his wishes, his cremated remains will be scattered with a dozen white orchids off the coast of San Diego in the Pacific Ocean, in the same location as his late wife, Mitzie.
