She is survived by: her husband Tianji Miao; her brother Jixu Chen (Yan Zhu); her daughters, Ruth Miao and Mary Weerts (Douglas); and her grandchildren, Naixin Zhang, Rick Weerts and Liliya Trotter (Jonathan).
