It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Gabbert of Arlington Heights, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Kiley; and her parents, Wayne Hamm and Angeline Hamm. She is survived by: her husband John; and her daughter Kirsten Akens (Geoff).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the G. L. Hills Funeral Home (745 Graceland Ave, Des Plaines, IL 60016). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
