He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Shirley Robertson, Geraldine Krumwiede and John Robertson. He is survived by: his parents, Thomas "Skip" and Cathy; his wife Alycia (Funteas); his children, Bryce and Kinsley; his sister Megan (Ripley); his parents-in-law, Steve and Chrys Funteas; his siblings-in-law, Troy Ripley, John, Jessyca Funteas (Malina) and Lauryn Babbitt (Funteas); and his nieces and nephews, Grayson, Rhys (Ripley), Henry, Rocco Babbitt and Charlotte Funteas.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Matt's honor can be made to the Holiday Heroes Foundation.
