Theodora A. Mathias Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 30, 2025, at the age of 86, Theodora A. Mathias of Arlington Heights, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John G. Mathias; her daughter Constance "Connie" Mathias; and her siblings, Despina Kyriazes (late Andy) and Steve Messerges (Linda). She is survived by: her children, Mary Bauer (Bill), George Mathias, Thomas Mathias (Kathy), Alexis, Bradley Bauer, John (Bianca), Lauren Mathias (David Dasbach) and Rosina Theodora; and her sister-in-law Elaine Mathias. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and god-children.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home (185 E Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL 60067). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church (133 S Roselle Rd, Palatine, IL 60067). A graveside service was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (2905 Thatcher Ave, River Grove, IL 60171).
