It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Catalano of Arlington, Illinois, who passed away on April 26, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Catalano; her parents, Elmer Whitmire and Mary Whitmire; her siblings, Elmer Whitmire and Dale Whitmire; her daughter Angeline Leija; and her son-in-law Roy Elam.
She is survived by: her children, James Catalano Jr., Frank Catalano (Kathy), Vincent Catalano (Melanie), Mary Helen Elam and David Catalano; her grandchildren, Michael Elam (Tanya), Frank Catalano Jr. (Sona), Nick Catalano (April), Jennifer Bouso (Sam), Brittany Thompson (Joshua), Dominic Catalano (Emily), Andrew Leija, Angelo Catalano (Emily), Gina Catalano, Joseph Catalano, James Catalano, Ryan Johnson and Larissa Catalano; her great grandchildren, Megan Elam, Michael Elam Jr. (Allie), Jeremy Rotramel, Courtney Poremba (Michael "Ed"), Talia Catalano, Deegan Catalano, Augustus Thompson, Zayn Buoso, Kane Leija, Leonardo Thompson, Michalina Thompson, Luca Catalano, Fiona Catalano, Ben Catalano and Matteo Catalano; and her great great grandchildren, Liam Reeder, Micheal Elam III, Elijah Reeder, Lillianna Rotramel, Miles Poremba, Archer Rotramel, Naomi Rotramel, Violet Reeder, Henry Schneider and Casey Poremba.
