He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Harold and Florence Virginia Smith Komnick; his granddaughter Olivia Otto; his brother Lynn Komnick; and his in-laws, Earl and Evelyn Lindenfelser.
He is survived by: his children, Tara Talbert (Brad) of Armington, Tanya Lang (Brian) of Armington, Ryan Komnick (Carrie) of Danvers and Lindsay Otto (Jed) of Stanford; and his grandchildren, Jordan Talbert (Devon), Zachary Talbert (Elizabeth), Chelsea Frost (Quentin), Jadyn Rusteberg (Blake), Ashley Meyer (Jayson), Austin Lang (Taylor), Alyssa Schneider (JT), Brantson Komnick, Brooklyn Komnick, Miles Otto, Maxx Otto and Malina Otto. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Armington Fire and Rescue, Miner Christian Church and or the Hopedale Medical Complex.
