He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Gorbey and Gloria Gorbey (Anderson); and his wife Geraldine Kisner. He is survived by: his children, Jaynie Compton (Robert) of LeRoy, James D. Dukich (Heather) of South Dakota and Janece Stefanov of Arrowsmith. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
