He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Plank and Fannie Plank (Helmuth); his former wives, Charlene Eastman and Doreen Plank (Hynes); his grandson Max Hendrix; and his siblings-in-law, Pete Beachy and Rose Plank.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry C. Benson (Yoder) of Arthur, IL; his daughters, Sheila Dukeman (Michael) of Arcola, IL, Connie Black (Rob) of Decatur, IL and Lydia Miller (Justin) of Charleston, IL; his grandchildren, Austin Lewis Hopkins (Molly Mahannah) of Mattoon, IL, Trevin Nicholas Plank of Arcola, IL and Sydni Elder (Justin) of Decatur, IL; his great grandchildren, Maxwell and Tatum Elder; and his siblings, Bill Plank of Arthur, IL, Mary Beachy of Plain City, OH, Ida Vannatta (Rich) of Hilliard, OH, Ruby Raber (Ben) of New Berlin, OH and Verba Herschberger (Freeman) of Sugar Creek, OH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Arthur Mennonite Church (710 E Park St, Arthur, IL 61911). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
