It is with sadness that the passing of William David Petit of Ashkum, Illinois is shared. William, born on February 22, 1941, passed away on October 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Margaret Kerrins Petit and David Adolphe Petit; his brother Thomas Petit; his nieces, Yvette Terese Spivock (Bill) of Charlotte, NC, Monique Marie Sparks (Doug) of Virginia Beach, VA, Brittany Lynne Danforth (Joe) of Yadkinville, NC and Tamara Neally Bruno (Justin) of Bourbonnais, IL; his nephew Brett David Petit (Jennifer) of Southlake, TX; and his grandchildren, Alec, Remi, Bryston, Emory, Kelton, Athena and Giada.
He is survived by: his brother Martin Petit (Christine) of Holland, MI; his sister-in-law Roseanne Petit of Treasure Island, FL; and his siblings, James Petit (Sally) of Virginia Beach, VA and Rebecca Voyles (Randy) of Little Falls, MN.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bourbonnais - Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, Inc. (295 Main St NW, Bourbonnais, IL 60914). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
