It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deborah Lynn Gerlach of Ashland, Illinois, who passed away on May 15, 2026, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Wesley and Marjory Jean VanOsdol (McAfee); and her siblings, Allen VanOsdol and Carla England. She is survived by: her husband Rich Gerlach; her children, Matthew Coryell (Amy) of Chatham, Lucy Gunn (Joe) of Chatham and Kristina Helmerichs (Corey) of Springfield; her grandchildren, Cody Coryell, Dustin Coryell, Christian DeJaynes, Madison Coryell, Avery DeJaynes, Isabella Gerlach and Zoe Helmerichs; and her siblings, Mary VanOsdol-Fletcher of Indiana, Richard VanOsdol (Lois) of Indiana and William VanOsdol of Indiana. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or First Baptist Church.
