He is survived by: his children, Ben Adkins, Travis Adkins and Lauren Adkins Knose; his grandchildren, Cecelia Knose, Raquel Knose, Riley Adkins and Lucas Adkins; and his siblings, Gail Hitchock, Alan Adkins, Brian Adkins and Jay Adkins.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Ashland City Cemetery (717 S Saratoga St, Ashland, IL 62612). Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 210 IL-125, Pleasant Plains, IL 62677.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the local animal shelter are requested in memory of Eric Adkins.
