He was predeceased by: his foster parents, Ray Grider and Helen Grider; and his daughter Pamela Kay. He is survived by: his wife Nance Pennock; and his children, Debra Gruen (Bill) of Ashland, Amy Christison (Randy) of Tallula and David Bryant (Gina) of Pittsfield.
