It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Lee Summers of Ashland, Illinois, who passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Lee and Blanche Louise Orr (Camp); her former husband Clarence A. "Buss" Summers; and her sister Betty "Babe" Lewis. She is survived by: her children, Carroll Summers of Ashland and Caron Garmon (Alex Leonard) of Ashland; her grandchildren, Annette Bottens (Jon Rice), Cathleen Lara (Alan Gory), Carmen Cline and Andrew McCartney; her great grandchildren, Cadence, Kristen, Carson, Kyler, Jasmine, Jaina, Jemma, Addison, Isabella, Daylin, Jake and Annabella; and her husband Mascouten Bay Longrifles. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Ashland Fire Protection District or to the Mascouten Bay Longrifles.
