He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Bowers and Lillian Bowers; his former wife Sharon Bowers; his daughter Glenda Bowers; and his brother Alan R. Bowers.

He is survived by: his wife Dianna Bowers of Ashley, IL; his sons, William Bowers (Diane) of Olathe, KS and Robert Bowers (Sara) of Mascoutah, IL; his grandsons, Christopher, David, Jacob and Galen Bowers; his great grandchildren, Troy and Kara Bowers; his stepchildren, Ben and Sabrina; and his sisters-in-law, Jill Bowers of Nashville, IL and Diana Hatfield of Overland Park, KS. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
