With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ralph Edward Leonard of Ashley, Illinois, born in Chester, Illinois, who passed away on September 27, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Raymond and Doris Genevieve Leonard; his brothers, Glenn Eugene Leonard and John Darwin Leonard, Sr.; and his son Nathan Bruno.
He is survived by: his wife Paulette Leonard of Ashley, IL; his children, Kathy Pence (Michael), Rebecca Leonard Johnson, Jennifer Calabrese (Mike) and Jacyln Herzog (Joe); his daughter-in-law Lorraine Bruno; his grandchildren, Zachary Pence (Katie), Emily Danks (Joe), Michael Calabrese (Abby), Cynthia Bruno, Jessalyn Monroe (Jon), Ethan Herzog (Carli), Tommy Herzog, Natalie Bruno, Anthony Calabrese and Dominick Bruno; and his brother Gerald "Jerry" Raymond (Etta Jane Leonard). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Campagna Funeral Home (45 NW Railroad St, Ashley, IL 62808). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (52 S 3rd St, Radom, IL 62876).
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials can be made to the St. Michael Catholic Church or Friends of Hornet Football and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
