He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Hamil and Leola Hamil (Smith); his sister Le Frances Brown; and his parents-in-law, Vincent and Eileen Nowicki.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Hamil of Ashley, IL; his children, Rachel Copus (Ira) of Pinckneyville, IL and Phil Hamil (Lisa) of Aviston, IL; and his grandchildren, Sarah Copus, Clayton Copus, Jack Hamil and Ella Hamil. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Washington County Animal Shelter or the Mt. Zion Cemetery and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
