He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Dewey and Ruth Madelyn Wheeler (Roller). He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Boyer; his children, Diane Wheeler Hawkins (Larry) of Kansas and Douglas Dale Wheeler (Sandy) of Chrisman, Illinois; his grandchildren, Misty D. Kessler (Mike), Kristy L. Gebhardt, Morey Dale Hawkins (Rose), Korey T. Hawkins, Shannon D. Wheeler (Jamie) and Shantha Dale Shepard (Tyler); and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Drew Kessler, Nora, Emma Gebhardt, Mia, Lydia Hawkins, McKenzie Hawkins, Denim, Archer Wheeler, Maddi, Luke, Katie, Lyla and Clara Shepard.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Templeton Funeral Home - Paris (600 E Court St, Paris, IL 61944). Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
