He was predeceased by: his parents, David Elmer Stout and Dorothy Jane Stout (Storm); his brother-in-law Jerry Roberts; and his wife Wendy Ransford-Stout. He is survived by: his sister Ida Ruth Roberts of Fairbury, Illinois; his niece Karen Oest (Craig) of Fairbury, Illinois; his great-niece Emma Oest of Fairbury, Illinois; his daughter Hope Basford of Springfield, Illinois; his grandchildren, Tyler Basford of Springfield and Kayla Basford (Luke) of Assumption, Illinois; and his great grandchild Oliver Ray Merrifield.
