He was predeceased by : his mother Florence Gingras; and his sisters, Carol Gavigan and Diane Margita. He is survived by : his wife Patricia Gingras; his children, Megan Munson (Kevin) and Daniel Gingras; his grandchildren, Ellie Louise, Hallie Marie and Benjamin George; and his sister Peggy Gudmundson (Richard).

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Assumption Cemetery (19500 S Cottage Grove Ave, Glenwood, IL 60425).

In lieu of flowers, donations to Lightways Hospice (aka Joliet Community Hospice) in George's name would be appreciated.
