He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Ashinhurst and Merlie Ashinhurst (Clark); his sister Marie; his granddaughter Lynne Polette; and his half-brother Thomas Russell.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn D. DeCamp; his son Mark Ashinhurst (Katrina) of Assumption, IL; his granddaughter Kimberly Dumbauld of Assumption, IL; his great grandchildren, Dez and Furie of Blue Mound, IL; and his sister Jean Askins of Pana, IL..
