Carroll E. Skiles Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carroll E. Skiles of Astoria, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 26, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to Carroll's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Carroll has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland C. Skiles and Hazel Skiles (Hoke); his wife Wanda M. Hollenback; and his siblings, Leland Junior Skiles and Charlotte J. Walden.

He is survived by: his children, Janet K. Skiles of Carthage, IL and Mark T. Skiles of Astoria. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Astoria Fire and Rescue Squad or the Fulton County Humane Society.
