He was predeceased by: his parents, George C. Hughes and Grace R. Hughes (Stambaugh); his son James Dayle Hughes; and his siblings, Geneva Howard and David Jack Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Parkinson; his son David Hughes of Astoria; and his granddaughters, Kirstin Anderson (Anthony) of New Lisbon, WI, Kaylie (Cody Schultz) of Lewistown, IL and Samantha Quandt (Austin) of Kansas City, MO.
Memorials may be made to the Astoria Rescue Squad or the Beardstown Health & Rehab Center.
