He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Malott and Bertha Malott (Hendee); his wife Geraldine Piotrowski; and his siblings, Hiram Malott, Ruby Gobel and Margie Wilson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Burget (Scott) of Rushville, IL and Beverly Taylor (Gary) of Rushville, IL; his close friend Dorla Hayes of Astoria, IL; his grandchildren, Brandy Burget, Nathan Burget and Miranda Taylor; his great grandchild Addalynn Burget; his stepchildren, Stephen Piotrowski of Tamaroa, IL, Julia Bathon (Raymond) of Pinckneyville, IL, Deborah Kellerman (Steven) of Tamaroa, IL and Donna Piotrowski of Tamaroa, IL; and his siblings, Clyde Malott (Sharon) of Lewistown, IL, John Malott (Millie) of Lewistown, IL and Doris Case (Jim) of Peoria, IL.. He is also survived by eight step-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Astoria South Fulton Senior Center or the Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice.
