He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bucy and Erma Bucy (Horner); his wife Dorothy Ann "Dot" Schisler; his grandson Mark Bucy; his stepgrandson Mike Belden; his stepgreat-grandson Cole Posey; his daughters-in-law, Pam Bucy and Lynn Bucy; his siblings, Mary June McCormick, Otis, Wayne, Ansel, Henry, Clair and George Bucy; and his half-siblings, Dorothy Hughes, Vera Brillhart, Lela Mendonhall, Boyd, Ernest and Charles Bucy.

He is survived by: his sons, Steven Bucy of Table Grove, IL and John Lance Bucy of Astoria; his grandchildren, Ashley Bucy, Bradi Chipman (Monte), Amber Bucy and Jordan Kinkead; his stepgrandson Matt Posey (Erin); his great grandchildren, Riley Lynn Weinmann, Kaylynn Bucy, Levi, Evan, Addison Chipman and JJ Kinkead; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Nik Belden and Christin Posey; and his siblings, Eldon Bucy (Bertha) of Vermont and Betty Ricketts of Chandler, AZ..

Memorials may be given to the Astoria Toys for Tots in care of the Astoria Fire Department.
