He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward McCombs and Alma McCombs (Trone); and his sister Erma Easley. He is survived by: his children, Jeff McCombs (Brandi) of Peoria, IL and Pam McCombs of Peoria, IL; his grandchildren, Ella McCombs, Cora McCombs, Anissa Plummer (Matt), Alisha Morrow (Casey), Dustin Cox (Heather), Tara Sherrod (Damon), Brandon Gunter, Ashley Griffin (Brian), Lacey France (Danny), Westin Gunter and Lexie Gunter; his stepsons, Dan Gunter (Bonnie) of Havana, IL, Tim Gunter of Roseville, IL, Tom Gunter of West Peoria, IL and Jim Gunter Alexis (Tammy); and his brother Robert Lee "Jake" McCombs of Astoria. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
